Amy Logan MSc

Meet Amy Logan, a professional genealogist with a passion for uncovering family history. From a young age, Amy was fascinated by genealogy, thanks to stories from her grandfather about his naval career during WWII and her great grandmother's brave adventure across seas to find her lost love. While she pursued graphic design as a profession, she always found herself drawn back to genealogy in her spare time. When the time was right, she decided to turn her hobby into her profession and became a qualified genealogist.

Based in the North East of England, Amy specializes in Northumberland  and County Durham research. Her advantage is the ability to visit  brick-and-mortar archives, as well as consulting online resources.  Additionally, she resided in the USA for many years, which gave her  extensive experience researching Southern State families and knowledge  of cultural differences. This places her in the unique position to take  on investigations originating in either continent.

Qualifications

Amy has a range of qualifications and experience that make her an expert in her field:

Master of Science in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies 

Amy holds a Master of Science in Genealogical, Palaeographic and Heraldic Studies with Merit from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Visual Arts

 She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Visual Arts from Brevard College, USA.
